The Foundations Health Coaching approach doesn’t just address nutrition or only support sleep because health is multifaceted

This means: how we sleep affects our stress, what we eat affects how we move, how much we move affects our stress, our stress affects how we eat, how we eat affects how we recover, how we recover affects how we sleep and so on. Our physical health is complex and impacted even more by our mental health and wellbeing.

What is Foundations Health Coaching?

Foundations Health Coaching supports you to make healthy and sustainable changes in your life.

Whilst life expectancy is rising, we are also spending more time in poor health. Foundations Health takes a whole health approach, working with you to look and feel better in every way by tackling issues such as your nutrition, sleep, energy levels and how you manage stress.

Based in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom. Foundations Health Coaching offers online and in-person health coaching sessions. During these sessions we work to develop realistic and actionable changes to your day to day routines which, when done consistently, will have a massive impact on your health.

As well as providing 1:1 sessions, we also work with companies to run corporate wellness challenges and work with schools helping educate children and families on how to support their health.

Foundations Health Coaching's habit changing approach, meaning we work together to make small tweaks and changes to your life that make a long lasting impact on your life.

When people try to make a change, they commonly try to make massive changes all at once, which are usually not sustainable - either leading to a miserable life or too drastic to fit in with a normal life. Too often, this leads to people putting the weight they lost back on, and then even more weight.

Similarly, when people are trying to improve their sleep they might go to bed earlier or decide to sleep in one morning, but without further planning, such as building a sleep schedule, it is unlikely to a sustained, meaningful impact.

    So often we know what we need to do but we just can't do it consistently or don't know where to start.

  • Foundations Health Coaching helps you follow a plan that suit's your lifestyle. Most people don't need to track calories of have restrictive diets to make a meaningful change to their health.

    Sometimes it can be helpful to do these things for a period of time to learn more about nutrition or how much you need to eat to feel satiated, but no one wants to have to pull out My Fitness Pal when they're out for dinner on a Saturday night!

  • Most clients will have fortnightly appointments - these can be online or in person.

    Some clients choose to meet weekly, as they find the additional meetings support them with staying on track and accountable. 

    Over time, when clients reach a maintenance phase of their programme, they may switch to monthly check ins.

    It is all about choosing the plan that suits you best in that moment of your life.

  • We are contactable on WhatsApp and will reply within 24 hours. You will also have access to lots of helpful resources for immediate answers to some of the most common queries

  • There is no fixed time period for coaching. For most clients we require them to complete two months in Phase 1 where we establish baselines, begin to develop the client's knowledge and get up and running. After that coaching continues for as long as the client feels the need.

    Some clients may have coaching for a fixed period, such as in preparation of a sporting event or operation. Likewise, some clients may leave coaching then return when they feel they need more support again.

  • Foundations Health Coaching is all about making small, manageable changes to your life that will gradually make a big change!

    So often, the reason people are unsuccessful with making a change to their lives is they try to take on too much all at once.

    Instead, it is better to add a small thing into your life or make a tweak to an already established habit.

  • No. While we can support you with exercise, there are no face to face training sessions. We will support you with your nutrition, sleep, stress, productivity, recovery and energy. This will complement your personal training sessions.
